About Us

Our vision is for everyone to be heard and understood when we speak up about our health.

Who we are

We’re a digital health company dedicated to helping people with autoimmune conditions have better conversations with their doctors.

What we do

We deliver bite-sized learning experiences to help people with autoimmune conditions prepare for medical appointments, ask the questions that matter, and take part in shared treatment decisions.

Why we do it

We want our tools and resources to help patients whenever and wherever they like - fitting into their busy lives and supporting them when they need it most. We believe this will empower everyone to get access to the right treatments faster.

How we’re different

While many health websites have a few resources about how to speak to doctors, we tackle this thorny issue head on, dedicating all our content to these critical conversations. It’s how we came up with our company name!

Our Mission

At TTMdoc, we’re on a mission to empower people living with an autoimmune disease to speak up and take part in treatment decisions.

Why this mission?

Research shows that up to four in every five Americans don’t share information with doctors that could be relevant to their health.1

Things are even harder for women and people of color, who are more likely to have their symptoms dismissed by health providers.2

And for people living with autoimmune conditions, these conversations can be even more difficult. For example, many symptoms of myasthenia gravis can mimic other conditions, including some psychiatric disorders.3 This can result in doctors thinking someone’s symptoms are ‘all in their head’.

So-called medical gaslighting* is a real problem that doesn’t get enough attention. And we want everyone to learn the skills to counteract it.

*Term used to describe when clinicians blame symptoms on mental health problems, or deny they are real at all. This can lead to patients questioning their own experiences.

Working With Us

We partner with organizations committed to improving human health. That’s a big subject, so we’re starting where we believe we can make the biggest difference: in autoimmune conditions. More than 75% of people with autoimmune conditions are women.1,2 Research shows that women with complex conditions are the least likely to speak up about their health.3

Patient advocacy groups

Who better to know the lived experience of a complex condition than those who live with it.

We work with patient groups to incorporate insights from conversations with doctors into a real-world, simulated experience where patients can learn at their own pace.

The research company Gartner estimates that by 2026, 25% of people will spend at least one hour a day in the metaverse for education, shopping, work and entertainment.4

We’re helping to create that metaverse* by focusing on the most important diagnostic tool in health: the doctor-patient conversation.

*A metaverse is a set of virtual spaces where you can create and explore with other people who aren’t in the same physical space as you.

Research-based pharmaceutical companies

We work with pharmaceutical companies invested in the therapeutic areas we support. Initially, those areas are myasthenia gravis and lupus.

Partner pharmaceutical companies may sponsor the development of specific patient tools and educational materials. They may also advertise on our site.
